Responsibilities
Deputy Chief Michael Brosnan is a Law Enforcement Risk Control Consultant for J.A. Montgomery Risk Control. He provides safety and risk control consulting services for law enforcement agencies within municipal entities. The services provided address elements of a uniform consulting plan, which include training, accreditation plans, loss analysis, regulatory compliance and on-site consultation.

Background
Deputy Chief Brosnan joined J.A Montgomery Risk Control in December 2019.  Prior to joining J.A. Montgomery Risk Control he was the Deputy Chief of Police of Toms River Township, located in Ocean County, N.J.  He started with the Toms River Police Department in 1994 and served in numerous capacities during his career until his retirement in November of 2019.

Deputy Chief Brosnan spent the majority of his career in Operations and was afforded various opportunities to address safety and risk issues for those under his command.  He has instructed officers in several law enforcement disciplines throughout his career.  Deputy Chief Brosnan has also instructed as an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice and Sociology at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, N.J.  Deputy Chief Brosnan is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the NJ FBI National Academy Associates, the Police Executive Research Forum, and the Fraternal Order of Police.
